Stylish, modern, fully self-contained, rural themed cottage.
Kitchen/lounge/dining, double bedroom, and separate bathroom/toilet.
A sofa bed in the living area will sleep up to two children.
A TV with USB outlet ready to plug in your favourite movies.
Guests have their own private courtyard with breakfast bar, & bistro/cafe style table and chairs.
A peaceful and relaxed space in a quiet neighbourhood.
Easy self check-in/out 2.00PM - 9.00PM (please, not before 2.00PM).
The space
The shack is secluded and away from the main residence. If you have fears of catching a virus you can self isolate here with no human contact if that is required.
The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The double bed is super comfy and in the lounge there is a plush leather armchair and ottoman, plus a comfortable sofa bed.
*If two people book and require two beds then a fee of $15.00 (per stay) is required for the extra bedding.
Many cabins are hot boxes, but not this one, it has high rated insulation in the ceiling space and in the walls too. Cool in the hot weather, and warm in the cool weather.
A fan heater is supplied for the few cool mornings we experience in the middle of the year. Ceiling fans and a whisper quiet, modern split system air conditioner keeps you cool during the hot, humid months (please ensure a/c is off before going out).
Cooking facilities consist of elec. hot plates and oven (packaged frozen food heating only, no messy roasts,etc), a microwave oven, , pots and pans in a modern fully equipped kitchen. Toaster, electric roasting frypan, and kettle too, of course.
Please wash any pots or pans you may use.
Help yourself to any herbs in the garden for your meals.
Breakfast of toast or cereal, and tea/coffee/milk supplied. Butter, jam, marmalade, Vegemite, also supplied for your breakfasts for the first few days.
Cold water and ice always in the fridge, BYO and you're ready for a relaxing drink.
If you have been travelling and need clean clothes, there is a washing machine & clothes line for your exclusive use (only btwn 07.00 & 20.00). But please, clothes only.
There is also an iron and ironing board!
Excellent wi-fi ; TP Link Wi-Fi extender.
The accommodation is for 1 - 2 adults, with a sofa bed for up to 2 children eight years old and over.
Important, please note: we ask you don't request to book if you have children less than eight years old as it may be disappointing to have your request denied and it will block our calendar.
The accommodation is not really suitable for three to four adults. We can consider three or four adults on a case by case basis though, just ENQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING.
It is not suitable for children UNDER eight years old.
Strictly no pets/animals, so do not request a booking with animals. Our guests must be confident that the space has never been shared with cats/dogs/etc.
If you value privacy, comfort, and peace and quiet then this is the place.
Guest access
A car parking spot is directly in front of the MIDDLE garage door. During the day anyone may park here but is exclusively for guest's vehicle after 6.00PM.
Please park as close as you can to the garage door so the driveway is kept clear for our cars.
If you have an extra long vehicle, IE a large delivery van, a long 4WD, or campervan, then you will have to park on the grass out the front because it will block the driveway entrance. Please don't park on the road as we are on a bus route and it will cause traffic issues which reflect badly on us,.
And please do not park in front of our neighbour's houses.
Other things to note
We don't charge a 'cleaning fee' if the place is clean, but due to some recent disrespectful people we have decided to introduce a $30.00 cleaning fee if an unreasonable mess is left behind .
On the morning of departure you don't need to make the bed as we strip it and replace with freshly laundered linen.
