My husband and I had recently joined Tasman Venture for their Remote Fraser Island (K'gari) day tour. The tour started from Marina in Hervey Bay, took about one and half hour get to the Platytus Bay, the far northwest side of Fraser Island, and included visits to the 3 fresh water creeks, Wathumba Creek, Awinya creek, and Bowarrady creek. We had great times in swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water, exciting tubing, kayaking along the creek at high tide, walk along the creek to see birds and trees. Weather was beautiful, activities are very well organised and exciting, staff are very friendly and experienced. Have visited Fraser Island several times in the past, the Tasman Venture Remote Fraser Island Tour brings unique experience which no other tours offered. The tour provided true opportunity to discover the remote and untouched beaches of the stunning west coast of Fraser Island.

Melanie and the crew were amazing! Very chatty and full of lots of interesting info on the island and spots visited. Melanie took particular care with me as I'm a little nervous in the water so I really appreciated having her close by and checking in especially during the snorkelling activity. The island is absolutely stunning and the tour itself is worth it if you like being in a smaller group and not amongst other tourists. Would've liked a little more time at some of the beaches however understand that with the activities included (kayaking, snorkelling and tubing) that this isn't always possible. IT's just so beautiful to look at!! The one disappointing thing for me was the food. Having advertised that they cater to dietary requirements and also having called to make sure this was the case - the vegan food on offer was a let down. This by no means is criticism of the staff as I'm sure they have perhaps not been trained in providing adequate vegan food. Whilst everyone else was provided with an ample morning tea of several varieties of cake and cookies, I was given 2 very small protein balls. Lunch was also not up to scratch with a plain (no dressing) potato salad (boiled potatoes) and a dry coleslaw with a few small falafel balls. It kind of felt like my meal was an afterthought especially when I could see the ample food provided to everyone else and them all saying how much they were enjoying their meals. With the number of vegans growing in the country and also other varied dietary requirements I would suggest management spend some time learning how to better cater for these guests and making sure there are enough snacks provided for them to buy should they wish to. Overall though an amazing day so props to the crew!!

The Experience by the crew shone out. Theyd spot the whales way before you could see them and are patient to hang around for the photographers to get a decent shot and experience. The kayaking part wasnt bad , but it should be an option for those wanting the open bay providing that the conditions are safe to do so . All in all fun for all age groups and an affordable great tune out from the mundane of life.

The beauty of Fraser Island was simply stunning. The efficiency of staff was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They all new their facts about the whales and the island. Everything ran like clockwork. They took care of my son with his food allergies. Wonderful service. Loved all the activities and the whales came to play - couldn't ask for a better day. Thank you

The Crew were amazing, patient, understanding with our group of adults from The Sheltered Nest (supporting clients with additional needs) taking the extra time to allow each client to process the activities and help try new experiences and support each person on the boat. It is a 110 % thumbs up from us! We will be back shortly to share more experience with your lovely crew. Thank you, Heather (Manager of The Sheltered Nest)
